This guy just has so much going on. He's certainly on the move. A swing blade, old casters, a drawer pull,a coat hook, a rear view mirror, and an olive oil can set this Angel in motion. I think this one will stay with me for a while.
I wanted to bring this guy back to the top of the page just cause I like him so much. This Angel stands 12" tall and is 10 1/2" wide. A funnel, a hinge, a finial, and a little copper make up this Angel. SOLD !
Here's an Angel that uses an old table leg, a radiator fan blade from an old truck, and a saw blade for a halo. It stands 32" tall and is 14" wide. $110.00
Since Barn Angels come out of the barn I decided that the barn itself needed an Angel. This one is made from old white washed snow fencing, a gourd for a head, galvanized metal from an old sign for wings, and a bicycle wheel halo.
We don't know exactly when Abbey came into this world. We do know that she came into our lives in October of 1996 and left this world this morning, September 11 2008 at 9:15. From the first day Lisa referred to her as her Angel Dog. Maybe that's where the inspiration for the Barn Angels came from, I don't know. Abbey taught us a lot in those 12 years, somethings I'm sure we may not even be aware of yet. One thing is for sure, she will be missed.
This Angel was a commissioned piece and is on it's way to Austin TX. She stands 17" tall and has a wingspan of 14". The body is a castoff from an old textile mill. The head is an iron ring that once held the blade on a scythe. The wings and halo are reclaimed copper.
I was rummaging through an old tool box looking for a drill bit when I found an old water heater element. Next thing I knew there was another Angel. It's 17 1/2 inches tall with a wingspan of 9 1/2 inches. SOLD !
Two little buddies. The one on the left is 9 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide, and his friend is 8 inches tall and has a wingspan of 6 inches. Both SOLD !!
