Out of The Barn

Barn Angels come from a barn in Murphy North Carolina. Composed of weathered, rusted, discarded, and sometimes forgotten parts. These bits and pieces have been laying around for years before finding each other and coming together as a Barn Angel. That's where I come in. I help the assorted pieces come together, a match maker of sorts. There's nothing fancy or frilly about a Barn Angel, but they have the power to hold our interest, and to open up our minds and hearts. These Angels are a wonderful addition to your home or office, and they are often seen in gardens and yes in, or on barns. Email me with any questions or pricing information. The Bracket Angel

This Angel was completed just a few days ago. It measures 52" wide and 32" tall It came together from a busted table leg, a couple of old painted mirror brackets and an old buggy wheel. I have not yet priced this Angel. If you are interested, drop me an email.

A wall Angel

It's been a while since I posted any new Angels. That's kinda because it's been too cold up until recently to get out in the barn and work. There are several Angels getting ready to come out. Here's the first.

Hawk Hill Farms

This Angel was also commissioned as a Christmas gift and will watch over the barn at Hawk Hill Farm. It's certainly the heaviest if not the biggest Angel to date. The main component is a newel post dating back to the late 1800 early 1900's. The wings are old iron brackets. Other adornments are old grill parts, a rusted bit, an old horse shoe and a mismatched pair of iron stirrups. the Angel is 51" tall and 36" wide.

Angel With Curves

This Angel was commissioned as a Christmas gift and is now residing over a garden in Chattanooga Tennessee. It's made from an old barrel hoop, some rusted tin roofing, a bell for a heart, and misc. scraps of metal. It measures 39" tall and 36" wide.

An Angel For The Wall

Here's an Angel that would look great on any wall, inside or out. Add some contrast to your modern decor with this rustic Angel or keep with your country look going. This Angel has rusted tin wings, a body of old snow fencing, and I'm not sure where the head came from. It's topped with a reclaimed copper halo. This Angel is 34" tall and 16" wide.

Keyhole Angel

This Angel came together with an iron bracket, a plow point, sock darner, an old keyhole escutcheon and skeleton key. It measures 18" tall 10" wide and 10' deep.

Two Headed Hoe

Well the name is suspicious, but it's a fact. Heads from two old hoes came together to help make this Angel. Just goes to show two heads are better than one. 28" tall, and 13" wide.

The Skate Angel

Here's an Angel that's ready to roll, sorta. He's missing a couple of wheels.  31" tall and 13" wide.

This Angel sports wings made from an old rake and stands on an iron gear.

Angel In Flight

Here's an Angel soaring in the rafters of the barn. An old large wing nut, chrome knob and a piece of antler set this Angel free.
