The core of the Sit Stay String Band are Brad and Lisa Waggoner. Having put down roots in Suit NC, a small hamlet just outside of the Town of Murphy, they began playing music, choosing the old time sounds of surrounding Appalachia. Lisa plays claw hammer banjo, mandolin, and guitar, and Brad plays fiddle and musical saw. Together they have played on back porches, in kitchens, and in living rooms around the area. They've also performed on stages at festivals, and fund raisers as well as small house parties.
Brad and Lisa are often joined by friends when they play out, as well as members of the former Drastic Measures String Band. Any way you put'em together it's a great sound.
